You should not settle for less… NEVER settle for something that you know you don’t deserve. If you notice that something or someone is making you unhappy and uncomfortable all the time, then might as well get rid of them for your own good. It will be a whole new adjustment, but this one is different… It’ll make you feel better.
How you could maintain it? Well, here are some of the things that you should remember in order for you to not settle for less!
1. Allow yourself to be happy.
By allowing yourself to be happy, it means developing self-love. If you settle for something that you know isn’t going to be satisfying, you will most likely feel gloomy and depressed. Think about yourself and how you could be delighted even in the smallest things.
2. Live your life. It’s yours once and for all.
‘You only live once’. And by that quote, you should remember that life is a matter of a short period of time that was bestowed on us. Life is temporary… It can be taken away from us anytime and settling for less isn’t a great way to savor it.
3. Explore and discover what’s out there
You should not settle for less. If you become aware that you aren’t getting the reward that you deserve, start to walk away. Discover new things that will fulfill your purpose and at the same time something that you really enjoy doing. The world is a big playground, you can go wherever you want and you can do whatever fits your will but always be careful.
4. You accomplish more goals.
By settling into the best things, you eradicate mediocrity and you achieve more than what you expect. As you do things that you know you deserve and passionate about, you increase productivity. Thus, making a lot more purposeful things in life.
5. You deserve a fruitful life.
If you keep paying attention to things that aren’t making you happy, then you are missing a lot in life! Start thinking everything and anything that you desire, focus on the good, take actions and strive for a life that you will be truly proud of.
6. Settling for less will burn you out.
This is why you should not settle for less. It will probably burn you out! Everyday would feel heavy and as if nothing is going on your way. You aren’t unlucky if your boss keeps on neglecting you, or if other people keep on ignoring you and talk to you only if they needed something… It’s you who is settling for less. And you don’t deserve that!
7. It restricts you from doing things.
By being demotivated, you become lazy in doing things. It will feel as if something is always holding you back. It isn’t a good sign of living your life, it only means you are settling for less. If you are burning out because of what you are doing or the people around you then it’ll be so restrictive to the point that you can’t even start a new project or listen to someone speaking.
8. It makes you feel lonely.
If you settle on the wrong people and activities, it’ll make you feel lonely as if you’re an outcast. Start hanging out with people that’ll contribute to your positivity and growth, and try doing activities that’ll boost your energy!
Start living your life to its fullest! Do not allow yourself to be stagnant. Keep on moving. Be the best version of you! Be hungry but always be grateful. It is better to be an active person than to be passive. You are the author of your own story, you should not settle for less if you want it to be a happily ever after.
